Before You Enrol
Make sure you are prepared:
- Understand how each program works.
- Decide on the right benefit options for yourself and your eligible dependents.
- Choose your beneficiary(ies) for your insurances
- Plan how to allocate any CAEselect Dollars you may receive.
- Decide how much you want to contribute from each paycheck toward your savings.
- Retrieve your RRSP and TFSA contribution limits from your Canada Revenue Agency online account on Canada.ca.
- Set up your accounts with Desjardins.
- Choose the investment options that best align with your long-term savings strategy.

Important: Your Next Steps
You have 31 days from the welcome email reception date to enrol in the group insurance program. Don’t worry — we’ve made the process straightforward, and all the information you need is right here.
We know things can change
If you experience a major life event — such as marriage or the birth of a child — you can update your benefits coverage within 31 days of the event.
Simply log into CAE MyBenefits click on Group Insurance Program then Administrator website to make your updates.
If you Don’t Enrol
If you do not complete your group insurance enrolment by the deadline:
- You will automatically receive default coverage, which may not reflect your personal needs.
- The default benefits include:
- Basic Life Insurance
- Basic Health Care
- Basic Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage
- You will be enroled without dependents (Individual status).
- Any unspent CAEselect Dollars will automatically go to your Health Spending Account (HSA).
- You will lose the opportunity to receive up to $50 in Wellness CAEselect Dollars.
Important
- For group insurance, once defaults are applied, you cannot make changes until the next Annual Re-Enrolment period — unless you experience a qualifying life event.
- New employees who enrol after the enrolment period launch are enroling for the current year only. They will also need to re-enrol for the next year to maintain their coverage choices.
